University of Central Lancashire
University of Central Lancashire (Uclan) is among one of the largest universities in UK. This is a government institution that offers higher education to the students who reside in the city of Preston. UCLAN was formed in the year 1828 and is particularly chosen for highly trained professors and tremendous career-shaping opportunities. Earlier known by the name of Harris Art College and recognized by classic-revivalist building, University of Central Lancashire has undergone various structural changes as well as name change over the years.
The main campus of UCLAN in Preston has excellent educational, entertainment, and housing facilities. The university includes satellite campuses in Cumbria, Cyprus, and Burnley in addition to its main campus. Four flight simulators and other specialized labs are housed in the Engineering Innovation Centre, a large teaching and eye-catching infrastructure. Indoor training and instructor-led sessions are available at Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre. The university also features a gym that is open to students who have purchased a sports membership. With student and staff community reaching the count of 38,000 UCLAN justifies the name of the largest university in the United Kingdom. The university has academic partners all over the globe and an established campus in Cyprus that offers UCLAN programs and original research in the context of the UCLAN environment and culture. UCLAN offers 230 undergraduate and approximately 200 postgraduate courses. Degrees like fashion and forensic science are usually on the checklist of most of students. Recently, some new additions like dentistry and undergraduate medicine are found on the list.
