Earlier it was a public university that was originally founded as the Leicester school of art in 1870. Later in 1992, it was named De Montfort University, after Simon de Montfort. Entry Criteria

  • 55-65% in three A levels, depending on the course you choose.
  • IELTS 6.0 for Art and Design, Business, Computing and Engineering courses
  • IELTS 6.5 for Law courses
  • IELTS 6.0-6.5 for Humanities and Media courses
  • IELTS 6.5-7.5 for Science courses
  • Entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus and a grading guide.
  • Fees for UG courses
  • £ 15,500 per year onwards
  • A bachelor’s degree with GPA 3.0 (out of 4.0) for courses requiring a  2:2 classification, and GPA 3.3 (out of 4.0) for courses requiring a 2:1 classification.
  • IELTS 6.0 for Business and Computing courses
  • IELTS 6.0-6.5 for Art, Design and Engineering courses
  • IELTS 6.5 for Humanities, Media, Law and Science courses
  • Some courses have additional entry criteria such as a portfolio, work experience or require you to have a degree in a related field.
  • Fees for PG courses
  • £ 17,000 per year onwards
  • C in English in O/Level;
  • Students completing bachelor from a UK affiliated university, will get IELTS waiver
