The Norwegian Ministry of Education has announced that NOK 50 million has been awarded to a total of 17 higher education institutions in Norway, including both public and private ones, to assist in boosting the number of internships in disciplines including social studies and medicine.

The government will provide funding to cover travel and housing costs for students whose internships are far from their places of study, according to a press release the ministry issued on Monday.
